Manage ethics and regulatory submissions across Phase I–IV oncology trials, ensuring GCP compliance and enabling high-quality research at scale.

Where you'll be working

Join theMedical Oncology Trial Unit (MOCTU) at Westmead Hospital, one of Australia’s largest medical oncology clinical trials units. MOCTU delivers a diverse portfolio of Phase I–IV sponsor-initiated cancer trials, working at the forefront of clinical research and supporting access to innovative treatments for people with cancer.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary environment where clinical research, governance and operational excellence come together. Working alongside Clinical Trials Coordinators, regulatory start-up specialists, finance and administration teams, you’ll contribute to a culture focused on collaboration, quality and continuous improvement.

- Work within a high-performing oncology clinical trials environment.
- Collaborate with investigators, study teams, sponsors and research governance stakeholders.
- Build robust relationships across a diverse clinical research network.
- Contribute to research quality, compliance and operational improvement.
- Be based atWestmead Hospital, within one of NSW’s major health and research precincts.

What you'll be doing

As the Ethics and Regulatory Officer, you’ll take ownership of ethics and regulatory coordination throughout the clinical trial lifecycle. Your expertise will help ensure studies meet critical approval, governance and compliance requirements so research teams can progress trials efficiently and safely.

- Coordinate ethics and regulatory submissions, approvals, renewals,



annual reports and ongoing compliance activities across a large trial portfolio.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready essential documentation across Investigator Site Files (ISFs), Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and electronic regulatory platforms.
- Provide practical regulatory guidance to investigators and study teams, interpreting requirements across HREC, REGO, sponsors and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate documentation and stakeholder inputs while proactively managing competing deadlines and submission requirements.
- Support audits, inspections, staff training and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen regulatory processes and research quality.
