In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team delivering Transport for NSW's budgeting, forecasting and financial management functions. This role will see you support the development, coordination and continuous improvement of Transport's internal budget and forecast processes.
You will play a key role in collating, analysing and systemising financial and workforce data, supporting budget submissions, maintaining forecasting information in financial systems, and preparing funding briefings and submissions for key stakeholders.
You will help build more effective, streamlined budgeting processes in a complex and high-profile environment, working closely with finance professionals and senior analysts across the Transport Cluster.
This role operates within our hybrid working model, requiring 50% workplace attendance. The home base for this role is Elizabeth St, Sydney, with flexibility to work from other office locations as required. Team collaboration days are on Monday.

Your financial acumen, stakeholder engagement skills and attention to detail, formed across finance, accounting,
budgeting or financial analysis roles, will see you excel in delivering accurate budget and forecast information, coordinating competing priorities and supporting robust financial decision-making.
You're recognised as a collaborative and proactive team member, skilled at analysing data, managing stakeholder relationships and improving processes, with experience using Excel and financial systems such as SAP.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong finance foundation and the right attitude to learn. You'll gain exposure to large-scale government budgeting and forecasting processes, work alongside experienced finance professionals, and contribute to critical financial planning activities during key budget cycles throughout the year.
