Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Technician Apprentice

Looking to build a rewarding career close to home? APA Group is offering an exciting opportunity for someone from the local Mount Isa region to join our team as an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Technician Apprentice .

n

This 4-6 -year apprenticeship combines hands‐on experience with formal training, giving you the opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople while working on critical energy infrastructure that helps power communities across Australia.

n

This is not your typical trade role. We'll help you obtain your trade certificate, but you'll be working towards becoming a highly skilled APA Technician.

What you'll gain

As an APA Apprentice, you'll work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, and Instrumentation , setting you up with valuable skills and a long‐term career pathway in the energy industry.

What you'll be doing

n

Working alongside skilled technicians, you'll gain experience across a variety of electrical, instrumentation andmaintenance activities, including:

n

- Assistingwithplannedandreactivemaintenance,inspectionsandrepairsacrosstheregion
n
- Learningtoservice,maintainandtroubleshootawiderangeofequipment
n
- Supportingelectricalandinstrumentationworkundertheguidanceofqualifiedteammembers
n
- Monitoringtheperformanceandoperationofcriticalassetsthroughroutineinspections
n
- Assistingwithequipmentupgrades,replacementsandimprovementprojects
n
- Maintainingeasementsandsitefacilitiestoahighstandard
n
- AttendingTAFEandsuccessfullycompletingapprenticeshipcoursework
n
- Contributingtopreventativeandcorrectivemaintenanceactivities
n
- Supportingjobpreparation,includingorganisingtools,partsandoperationaldocumentation
n
- Assistingwiththereviewandimprovementofoperationalproceduresanddocumentation
n
- Workingsafelyandhelpingprotectyourteammates,thecommunityandtheenvironment
