Synopsis:

Workplace Investigation Support Officer

- Fixed Term (2 Years) / Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $90,931 - $96,709 (LGIA Stream A Level 3) + Superannuation
- Location - Rockhampton

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivated and career-focused professional with the potential and ambition to develop into a Level 4 Workplace Investigations Officer.

Help champion integrity, accountability and fair decision-making at one of the region's largest employers. In this diverse role, you'll support investigation processes and complaint management, work closely with leaders across Council, and help ensure matters are managed fairly, professionally and in accordance with legislative requirements.

From assisting with workplace investigations involving misconduct and corruption matters to gathering and analysing evidence and preparing reports, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of challenging and rewarding work while building your expertise in workplace investigations.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

- Currently studying towards a qualification in Investigations,



Human Resources or a related discipline and/or have experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of complaint management, investigations, compliance processes, administrative law or human resources practices.
- Strong analytical, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build professional relationships and handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to interpret legislation, analyse information and contribute to investigations, reports and complaint resolution outcomes, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems.
