Our team has access to regular in‑service education sessions, simulation‑based training, clinical support from experienced educators, and structured mentorship to help you develop both confidence and competence. You’ll have opportunities to upskill in areas such as venepuncture, cannulation, perineal suturing, postnatal education, and newborn assessment, all within a supportive environment that values learning, teamwork, and professional growth.

We have after hours support from Postnatal Clinical Resource Midwives, and the RPAH Women & Babies service is supported by a Midwifery Unit Manager 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

- Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Effective interpersonal skills,



excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster working 12 hour shifts
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
