The Role

n

Are you an experienced radio producer or journalist who loves to create original and engaging content? Do you love talk-back radio? Would you like to live and work in one of the most exciting and beautiful regions in Australia?

n

ABC Gold Coast is looking for a talented studio producer to support the presenter to set the news agenda and create energetic, informative and entertaining radio programs.

n

As the Mornings producer, you'll be responsible for finding, planning and commissioning content that resonates with the local audience.

n

You will be required to:

n

n
- Confidently, produce radio programs, including coordinating guest interviews and daily stories.
n
- Provide in-studio production support, including managing talkback callers, emergency broadcasting and program logistics.
n
- Engage wisely and intelligently with audiences, on-air, online and on social media.
n
- Prepare and present distinct local content that engages local audiences, including Q&A;, packages, scripts, interviews and breaking news.

About You

With accomplished program making skills and a proven ability to develop original and engaging radio and cross-platform content for target audiences, you will bring with you:

- Strong editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.

- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with people from a range of backgrounds.
n
- Creativity, news sense and the ability to identify stories that will resonate with audiences.
n
- A love for radio and creating compelling audio content.
