The chance

As a Team Leader Youth Development, you will lead a passionateteam delivering programs, events and initiatives that empower youngpeople across Hobsons Bay. This is a rewarding leadershipopportunity to shape youth services, build strong communitypartnerships and ensure young people are supported, connected and able to thrive. Working within the Youth Services leadership team, you’ll drive innovative and inclusive programs that respond to the evolving needs of young people aged 12 to 25.

What you’ll do

- Leadand support a team of youth professionals to deliverhigh-quality youth programs and services.
- Managethe planning, delivery and evaluation of youthprograms, events and initiatives across themunicipality.
- Developand maintain strategic partnerships with schools,community organisations and local stakeholders.
- Ensureservices operate safely, effectively and in line withyouth work best practice and Child Safe Standards.
- Overseebudgets, grants, reporting, communications andcontinuous service improvement activities.

What you need to succeed

- Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, CommunityDevelopment, Psychology, Recreation, Arts or a relateddiscipline.
- Significant experience leading teams within youth,community or human services environments.
- Strongknowledge of youth development principles, ethicalyouth work practice and Child Safe Standards.




- Demonstrated experience building partnerships andcollaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, project management, budgeting, riskmanagement and reporting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to workindependently and within a team.

Some outside hours and weekend work required,occasionally.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Progressed candidates will be required to complete a NationalPolice Record Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), YouthMental Health First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6months of commencement, Current First Aid and CPR qualification or ability to obtain immediately.

Candidates must also hold a valid Victorian Driver's License.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted workingrights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitmentprocess.
