About the role:

As the Cook/ Kitchenhand at Clayfield House, you will be employed on a permanent full-time basis on a Monday to Friday schedule.

We are seeking a self-motivated,



confident, and pro-active individual that possesses an understanding and ability to demonstrate respect, professionalism and compassion within a level III Supported Accommodation environment which provides assistance and support to residents.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, or preparing bulk meals. E.g. meals on wheels
- Willingness to work within a team and cater to dietary requirements and requests from residents and management
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks
- Ability to manage food budgets, stock levels and ordering of food
- NDIS Workers Screening Check / Yellow Card - current or ability to obtain.

You will prepare nutritionally balanced, enjoyable, quality meals for facility residents within budget by being responsible for creative menu planning and purchasing solutions for the facility, stock control and taking responsibility for efficiencies in the kitchen and associated areas.

This position is also responsible for maintaining all areas of the kitchen, pantry and fridges/freezer areas to required health & safety standards and accreditation standards as well as reporting, following up on and resolving any related maintenance issues.

This role directly liaises with the facility’s clientele and as such may also need to assist with medication for clients and if so, will be provided with appropriate training.
