- Promote effective agile practices and healthy delivery by providing clarity, removing obstacles, supporting production readiness and ensuring appropriate standards for incident response, release safety, monitoring, operational handover and ongoing support.
- Build team capability through mentoring, pairing and regular feedback, while empowering engineers to take ownership and partnering with Security, Cloud and DevOps teams to embed secure engineering practices and controls.

- 5+ years’ experience in database design, including relational and NoSQL databases, with an understanding of performance optimisation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
- Proven technical leadership within delivery teams, balancing hands-on development with setting technical direction, guiding design decisions, establishing standards, reviewing code and taking ownership of technical outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers through pairing, feedback, collaboration and knowledge sharing, while supporting consistent, high-quality delivery.
- A solution-focused approach to complex technical and architectural challenges, with strong communication skills and the ability to explain decisions, trade-offs and approaches to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
