Remuneration: $65,704.29 - $74,286.63 per annum

Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considered for part time hours)

Location: Blacktown & Mt Druitt Hospitals

Join the Allied Health team at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting physiotherapists and other health professionals to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care. You will work in a dynamic healthcare environment where teamwork, communication and respect are highly valued.

- Work alongside experienced Allied Health Professionals in a supportive team environment
- Support patients across a range of therapy and rehabilitation activities
- Contribute to improving patients' functional independence and participation
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, carers and colleagues
- Work across both clinical and administrative activities while managing competing priorities

What You'll Be Doing As an Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy, you will provide practical assistance to patients and support physiotherapists in delivering effective therapy programs under appropriate clinical supervision.

- Assist with individual and group exercise, therapy and patient education programs
- Support patients to participate in activities that maximise their functional independence
- Observe and document patient attendance,



presentation and therapy outcomes accurately
- Communicate patient progress, changes and relevant information to the supervising Allied Health Professional
- Organise and prioritise your workload while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance/relevant qualification or willingness to undertake this training includes willingness to undertake additional discipline competencies.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a health environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing member of the allied health team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload delegated by supervising AHP's, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.




- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles and how it applies to the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a healthcare service or skilled care giving capacity, in a positive manner enhancing the client's ability to achieve positive outcomes and personal goals.
