About The Role

Our OSHC will be located on the beautiful grounds of St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School in Pennant Hills and is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 am in the mornings and from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. During the school holidays the OSHC is open from 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

The Assistant Coordinator will be able to work closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 - 12 years in Before School Care &

- After School Care at our Pennant Hills OSHC.

Location: Pennant Hills

Classification: Part time

Hours per week: 27 hours

Days per week: Monday to Friday

Availability Needed

- 3 mornings per week Before School Care 7:00pm-9:00am (6 hours)
- Every day After School Care - 2:30pm-6:00pm (17.5 hours)
- Admin hours - 3.5 hours per week

Duties

- Working in support of the coordinator with the efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Regularly evaluate the program to ensure it caters for the interests, needs of school age children.
- Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
- Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
- Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
- Willingness to engage in career development.

Requirements

- Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Working With Children Check.

Highly Desirable





- Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
- Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
- Experience in working in Out of School Hours Care or studying towards your Bachelor of Education Primary Teaching.
- Skills and experience in team leadership.
