- Oversee statutory reporting, taxation, funding acquittals, external audit requirements and robust internal controls.
- Provide financial leadership for asset management, capital works, valuations, depreciation and lifecycle planning.
- Lead, mentor and develop a cohesive, technically capable and service-focused finance team.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, reporting, controls and business processes.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning complexity into clarity and building financial capability across an organisation. - A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or commerce, together with current CPA or CA qualification.
- Substantial commercial accounting experience appropriate to the scope and seniority of the role, including demonstrated experience leading a finance team.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial modelling and executive-level analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, statutory reporting, audit management, internal controls and financial governance.
- Experience in fixed asset accounting, capital works reporting, valuations, depreciation and asset lifecycle planning.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems; experience developing dashboard reporting would be advantageous.

- Unrestricted working rights in Australia and the ability to hold a current paid employee Blue Card before commencing work.

This role will suit someone who is ready to take ownership, contribute to key decisions and create lasting value. You will work effectively in a varied school environment, build trusted relationships and apply careful attention to detail and a practical approach to strengthen financial stewardship and help shape the School’s next chapter.
