We're looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working across a variety of accounting and administrative tasks and wants to contribute to an organisation making a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians.
Reporting to the General Manager Finance, you'll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation and ensuring accurate, timely and efficient financial processes.

What you'll be doing
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments and debtor follow-up.
- Maintaining accurate financial records in Xero and completing reconciliations.
- Supporting month-end reporting,
audits and finance administration activities.
- Providing payroll administration support and assistance with employee reimbursements as required.
- Delivering responsive and professional support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen finance processes and controls.
About you
You'll bring
- Energy and enthusiasm!
- Around 3 years' experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and bookkeeping.
- Strong experience using Xero.
- Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping.
- Experience processing high volumes of transactions and completing reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- A commitment to confidentiality, integrity and accuracy.
Desirable
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience in a membership-based organisation.
- Payroll knowledge or experience.
- A passion for health, community or social impact.
