Do you enjoy a varied accounts role that covers both payables and receivables without responsibility for debt collection? Join Bretts Timber & Hardware and work with supplier and customer accounts across an established Queensland business with more than 100 years of history.

You will process supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, raise customer invoices and credit notes, allocate receipts, reconcile accounts and resolve account queries. The role does not include credit control or following up overdue accounts.

What you will do

- Process high volumes of supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders, delivery dockets and contracts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs, reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Raise customer invoices and credit notes accurately.
- Allocate customer receipts, reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate supplier and customer records in the ERP system.
- Respond promptly to supplier, customer and internal account queries.
- Support month-end accruals,



reconciliations and reporting, and suggest practical process improvements.

What you will bring

- At least two years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a broad accounts role.
- Hands-on knowledge of both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Experience using an accounting or ERP system such as Pronto, MYOB, Xero or SAP.
- Intermediate Excel skills, accuracy and sound reconciliation skills.
- Clear communication with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
- Desirable Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Business.
