Activity Instructors (Recruitment Pool)

About the role

We’re building a recruitment pool of energetic and skilled Activity Instructors to deliver a wide range of programs at the Cannington Leisureplex!

From Gymnastics and Kindy Gym, to Soccer, Basketball and Pickleball (to name a few), this is your chance to share your passion. Whether it’s helping kids build confidence, running fun social competitions, or activities for people with disabilities, you’ll play a big role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for everyone.

Based at the Cannington Leisureplex, you will undertake duties such as:

- Supervise enjoyable sports activity sessions to groups of varying ages and skill levels
- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants during sessions
- Communicating with colleagues on class and program delivery
- Supervising other sports activities where and when required

What’s on Offer?

- Shifts are between 1 - 3 hours and range from 1 – 3 per week (sport type dependent)
- Shifts may also include weekdays and Saturdays

Who we’re looking for

- Demonstrated experience in instructing Gymnastics, Soccer, Basketball, Pickleball, Kindy Gym and other sports and activities (relevant qualifications highly desirable)
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR certificates
- Current Working with Children Check
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to create safe and interactive classes
- Experience working with children, teens,



and adults in group activity settings
- Reliable and flexible, strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude!
