Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this newly created temporary role for a period up to 31 August 2027, with the potential to extend.

About the Role

As our recent Assistant Analyst, Policy, you will join the Social Housing, Property and Local Government team within the within the Economic, Housing and Infrastructure Policy (EHIP) Group, Planning and Housing Branch.

In this role, you will undertake detailed research and policy analysis to support the NSW Government’s strategic priorities in planning and housing. You'll contribute to the development of policy settings, assess proposals and Cabinet submissions, and help provide high-quality advice on the feasibility of key initiatives. Your work will support the effective coordination of planning and housing policy reforms across government.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, public sector agencies, and key stakeholders to inform decision-making and ensure timely, well-founded advice is delivered to senior executives. You’ll also provide administrative and project support to enable the timely delivery of the branch’s strategic initiatives.
