Full 360HR Solutions is proud to be supporting an established manufacturing business, Shinagawa, in Unanderra, in the NSW Illawarra region. We are seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance team across accounting, reporting and compliance activities.

This opportunity would suit an early-career accountant or a graduate with a sound understanding of accounting fundamentals and a willingness to learn. Working under the guidance of the Finance Manager, you will gain practical experience and develop your understanding of how finance supports day-to-day business operations.

About the Role

You will support accurate and timely financial reporting, contribute to month-end activities and help prepare information used to understand business performance. As your skills develop, you will progressively take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

- Assist with monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation, and maintain supporting schedules.
- Prepare general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate differences and escalate matters requiring further review.
- Support monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and management reporting, checking information for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with inventory, manufacturing cost and cost-centre reporting, including reviewing movements, allocations and variances.
- Contribute to annual budgets and periodic forecasts by gathering information,



maintaining templates and preparing supporting analysis.
- Prepare schedules and reconciliations to support tax compliance, year-end reporting and external audits.
- Work with finance and operational colleagues to clarify transactions and obtain supporting information.
- Participate in improvements to finance systems, processes and data quality while following internal controls and reporting deadlines.

You You enjoy working with numbers, take pride in getting the detail right and are keen to build a career in management accounting. You will bring a proactive approach, a willingness to ask questions and the ability to communicate with colleagues across both office and factory environments.

- A degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related discipline, completed or currently underway.
- Relevant accounting or finance experience is desirable, ideally gained within the first two years of your career. Graduates with suitable academic or practical experience are also encouraged to apply.
- A basic understanding of journals, accruals, reconciliations and financial statements.
- An interest in management accounting, manufacturing costs and commercial finance.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical ability and problem-solving skills.
- An organised approach, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities with guidance.
- Clear communication skills and a cooperative approach to working with finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Exposure to accounting, production, costing or ERP systems would be advantageous, as would an interest in working towards a recognised professional accounting qualification.
