About the role

Rowlee is seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at Rowlee Dining & Bar, our restaurant located on the Rowlee wine estate in Orange, NSW. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves being on the floor, delivering exceptional hospitality and helping a team perform at its best. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, leading service, supporting and developing the front-of-house team and ensuring every guest receives the warm, polished and knowledgeable hospitality Rowlee is known for.

Key responsibilities

- Lead restaurant services and be a visible, hands-on presence on the floor
- Supervise, motivate and support the front-of-house team
- Help deliver consistently high standards of service and guest experience
- Assist with daily restaurant operations, opening and closing procedures
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, cellar door and wider Rowlee team
- Assist with staff training, development and service standards
- Manage guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Support functions, wine dinners and special events




- Maintain presentation, cleanliness and operational standards throughout the venue
- Step into the Restaurant Manager's responsibilities when required

About you

- Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor or senior front-of-house professional
- Confident leading a service and enjoy working alongside your team
- Understanding that great hospitality comes from attention to detail, genuine care and strong communication
- Wine knowledge is highly regarded, although enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important
- Current NSW RSA is required
