About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager / 2IC to join our Parramatta boutique. Working alongside the Store Manager, you will help coach the team, deliver excellent customer service and keep daily operations running smoothly. You will also take the lead on shifts when the Store Manager is away, with clear responsibilities and support. This could be your next step if you are an experienced Senior Sales Assistant, Optical Dispenser or Retail Supervisor who is ready for more responsibility. Current Assistant Store Managers are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager in coaching the team and achieving store sales and service goals.
- Lead assigned shifts, organise daily priorities and help colleagues deliver consistent customer care.
- Assist customers with frame selection and suitable eyewear choices.
- Work with optometrists and dispensing colleagues to support a smooth customer journey.




- Help onboard current team members and build their confidence on the shop floor.
- Support stock control, merchandising, opening and closing, and daily administration.
- Resolve routine customer concerns and know when to seek further support.

About you

- Customer-facing retail experience and a record of delivering great service and sales results.
- Experience helping colleagues learn, coordinating tasks or taking responsibility during a shift.
- Clear communication, good organisation and attention to detail.
- A practical approach to solving problems and a willingness to learn.
- An interest in eyewear and helping customers make informed choices.
- Available for full-time retail hours, including weekends, public holidays, and other store requirements.
- Cantonese / Mandarin speaking is an advantage.

Optical experience is highly regarded but is not essential. We value relevant experience from other customer-focused retail environments and will provide training.
