With a holistic approach to financial advice, this is an opportunity to join a team that genuinely cares about delivering high-quality outcomes for its clients. The business offers a collaborative and stable workplace, with a strong track record of developing long-term relationships and delivering tailored financial strategies.
The client demographic is largely pre- and post-retirees with average account balances around $1.5 million, alongside some higher-value portfolios, corporates, SMSFs and private family trusts.
They are currently seeking an Associate Adviser to work alongside their Senior Advisers to help manage these clients, with a view to gradually taking on your own portfolio in the years ahead.
This is a broad and client-facing role with responsibilities including:
- Attending joint meetings with Senior Advisers and assisting with background fact-finding, meeting notes and follow-up
- Strategic financial modelling and analysis using Xplan, Wealth Solver and Risk Researcher
- Drafting Statements of Advice and Records of Advice
- Contributing to strategy development, including asset allocation and investment recommendations
- Preparing client review documentation and presenting modelling outcomes in meetings
- Full end-to-end implementation,
including liaising with clients and third parties and maintaining communication
- Monitoring portfolio liquidity against client risk profiles and platform cash minimums
You will be part of a small, professional and committed team where everyone is client-facing; there is no “back office.” This is a business that values integrity, open communication and continuous improvement – and has a clear commitment to doing the right thing by its clients and community.
To be considered, you will need to have experience in a financial planning firm in a Paraplanning, Client Service or Associate capacity. You will also need:
- Strong technical knowledge and advice writing skills
- Proficiency in Xplan and modelling tools
- Excellent attention to detail and personal organisation
- Professional presentation and confident communication
- A collaborative mindset and ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy
Flexible hours and the ability to work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays are available (post probation). Opportunities to join this firm are rare – if you are looking for a stable, progressive and ethical advice business where you can grow your career over time, we would love to hear from you.
