About the role The Repair Technician is responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs on vehicles involved in accidents, restoring them to manufacturer specifications. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow management to meet customer satisfaction and business targets.
Key responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine repair methods.
- Perform panel beating, dent removal, welding, and realignment of vehicle bodies.
- Replace or repair damaged parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure repairs meet safety, quality, and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with spray painters, mechanics, and estimators as needed.
- Maintain a clean and protected workspace, following WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) guidelines.
- Use repair manuals, diagnostic equipment,
and manufacturer documentation effectively.
- Complete job cards, reports, and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Communicate clearly with management regarding repair progress and any issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
About you
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent (preferred).
- Knowledge of modern repair techniques, tools, and materials.
- Current driver's license.
