A fantastic opportunity has become available in a Full-time Automation Welding Operator Role to support our team in Balcatta.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Use of automated equipment to carry out surfacing and repair of process equipment for the mining, chemical processing and oil and gas industry

- Follow all CWS safety quality procedures

- Ensure all work performed meets the requirements of the required standards as dictated by Work Instructions and Welding Inspectors

- Work within your team environment complimenting valuable performance and assist Workshop Team Leader in keeping focus on safety, quality and reporting any problems through the correct chain of command

- Preparation of automation jobs as allocated by the supervisor

The successful candidate must have:

- A capability to learn as training will be offered to the right candidate
- The right to work within Australia (we are not offering sponsorship for this role)

- A can-do attitude with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

- Ability to occasionally work nights if required

- Ability to work regular overtime

The following is preferred but not required:

- Ability to fault find recurring welding issues such as wire feed, arc initiation and gas leaks.

- Ability to produce an advanced welding program on robotic equipment.

- Basic Dogging experience

- Basic Computer skills

- Basic operation and understanding of atmospheric plasma spray (APS)

- Manual welding experience advantageous (TIG, MIG)
