Il Panino Bakery was established over 20 years ago and offers its customers a range of traditional Italian breads and pastries. We cater for retail clientele as well as we supply restaurants and food outlets

About you

We are looking for a qualified baker with a minimum of 2 years of experience who possesses a strong work ethic with excellent organizational skills and is reliable and prepared to work early mornings.

The business is currently looking to acquire a full time, highly skilled, physically fit Baker to perform duties that include but not limited to the following:

- Lead and oversee the production team to produce high quality gourmet products with consistency, within specifications and required time frames
- Support, inspire and communicate effectively with team members to create a positive work workplace
- Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, including sourdough, rye, and baguettes
- Follow recipes and baking procedures precisely




- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with other baking tasks as needed
- Preparing pastry fillings
- Work collaboratively to develop new products
- Manage production, work flow and time management of department
- Ordering, managing and maintaining ingredients and stock levels
- Create/update information sheets for shared team knowledge
- Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
- Create, make and bake a variety of gourmet savory and sweet deserts and package for retail sale such as brownies, crumbles, cheesecakes, muffins, assorted slices along with par baked breads and pastries
