St Columba’s College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls’ school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.
Incorporated as a separate legal entity, the College is governed by its Constitution and applicable corporate and regulatory frameworks. The Board plays a vital role in ensuring the College remains faithful to its mission, while providing oversight of strategy, educational excellence, and long term sustainability.

About the role The College is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified people to serve as non-executive Directors and contribute to the work of the Board and its committees, and whose experience will complement the existing skills and capability of the Board.
Please refer to the Board Director Position Description for information on the role of a Board Director. All Board roles are pro bono.
These voluntary appointments are for an initial three-year term, with the chance for reappointment. The Board meets a minimum of eight times each year.
Directors are also expected to actively participate in mission, formation and College events, strategy workshops annually and Board committee meetings generally held monthly or quarterly, depending on the committee.

Your expression of interest should include your CV, two referees and any additional supporting documentation you wish to provide.
We are looking for non-executive directors with expertise in accounting and finance with a recognised qualification in the field (e.g. CPA, CA, CFA) with demonstrated experience and understanding in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting principles. Experience in enterprise risk management, audit, assurance, compliance, internal controls, and organisational resilience is also essential.
All successful candidates will be subject to appropriate vetting.
