About the role

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Mornington store and drive operational excellence. This is a full-time position based in Mornington VIC 3931, where you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of branch operations, sales performance, and team leadership.

As Branch

Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the store meets and exceeds company targets, maintains high standards of customer service, and creates a positive working environment for your team. This role is integral to the success of our retail and trade operations and your leadership will directly impact the branch's profitability and market presence.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily operations of the branch, including stock management, merchandise displays and store maintenance

- Lead, mentor and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service

- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets and implement cost control measures to maximise profitability

- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share within the local area

- Build and maintain solid relationships with customers, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction

- Recruit, train and develop team members, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture

- Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies and procedures





- Report on branch performance to senior management and provide regular updates on key metrics

- Manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes and coordinate with head office on ordering and logistics

- Identify opportunities for business improvement and innovation within the branch

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Branch Manager or in a similar retail management role, preferably in the building materials or specialist retail sector

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and manage a diverse team

- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and financial objectives

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships

- Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L; responsibility

- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain operations

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels

- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying business opportunities

- Experience in the building, cabinetmaking or joinery industries is preferred

- Valid driver's licence is essential
