About the Company
Accuweigh is a proud member of Diverseco, Australia's leading industrial weighing, measurement, and automation provider. Together, we deliver world-class technical solutions across the country's most critical infrastructure sectors.
About the Role
Reporting to the State General Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales and gross profit targets through the effective execution of Diverseco's proven sales process.
This is an autonomous, on-the-road position based at our Wakerley branch where you will spend significant time face-to-face with clients on-site. You will take ownership of Accuweigh's premium, comprehensive product portfolio, including onboard vehicle weighing, industrial scales, and heavy industrial weighing systems. You will identify new business opportunities, manage key customer relationships, and provide technical solutions.
A major focus will be positioning our Legal for Trade (LFT) systems as essential tools for operational efficiency and regulatory Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.
This position is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on being out in the field, building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and delivering tailored technical solutions across transport, manufacturing, logistics, mining, and waste management industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Hit financial targets: Achieve sales revenue, gross profit, and activity targets across the entire onboard and industrial weighing portfolio.
- On-the-road engagement: Actively travel to client sites, transport yards, and industrial facilities to conduct assessments and build face-to-face relationships.
- Generate new business:
Source recent opportunities for industrial scales and vehicle weighing through prospecting, networking, and market development.
- Manage client relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with site managers, procurement, logistics firms, and OEMs.
- Own the sales cycle: Manage the full sales cycle from initial technical enquiry through to order confirmation.
- Prepare proposals: Create accurate technical quotations, solutions-based proposals, and tender submissions.
- Maintain CRM hygiene: Keep sales forecasts, pipelines, and CRM records highly accurate while managing your territory.
- Collaborate internally: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Project Managers, Operations, and Service teams to ensure successful system delivery.
About You You are a driven sales professional who loves being out of the office and in front of customers. You have a proven track record of achieving results in a commercial sales environment, understanding customer challenges, and developing practical solutions that create long-term value.
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven sales success: Demonstrated track record in business development, account management, or B2B sales.
- Sales pipeline management:
Proven ability to stay highly engaged and maintain momentum across both short- and long-term sales cycles.
- Commercial acumen: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities with a results-focused mindset.
- System proficiency: Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage a field territory.
- Autonomy & mobility: Highly self-motivated to work autonomously on the road, plus a current driver's licence.
While experience in selling capital equipment would be advantageous, we also welcome candidates from outside the weighing industry who have an industrial background, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. This role would be ideally suited to someone looking for a new challenge, who will thrive in a positive team culture, is motivated to make a difference, and wants to grow with the business.
Desirable Criteria
- Technical industry experience: Prior experience selling industrial scales, weighing systems, capital equipment, telemetry, or related instrumentation.
- Compliance knowledge: An understanding of heavy vehicle weighing, Legal for Trade (LFT) requirements, or Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.
- Sector exposure: Existing industry networks within transport, logistics, manufacturing, waste management, bulk solids, or mining.
- Background: An engineering, technical, or trade-related background.
What We Offer On offer is an attractive salary package, including a car allowance and commission incentive, along with the opportunity to join a growing business and build a long-term career within Diverseco.
