In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team delivering business support, planning and analytical services.
This role will see you coordinate business planning, reporting, financial management, procurement and administrative activities while providing trusted advice to support effective decision making.
You will build efficient and coordinated business processes in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, ensuring day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives are delivered accurately, on time and in line with organisational requirements.
We are recruiting for four (4) Business Manager roles across three (3) divisions in Sydney Metro:
The Technical Services division is responsible for engineering and technical specialists delivering best practice outcomes to improve accountability and assurance, and includes Engineering, Design & Assurance; Environment, Sustainability, Planning & Interface; Enterprise Health & Safety; Project Management Office; and Knowledge and Integrated Management Systems. There are two (2) roles within this division:
1 x Business Manager in Technical Services division (permanent)
1 x Business Manager in Technical Services division (temporary fixed term to 31/12/2027)
The Finance and Commercial division brings together finance, procurement, commercial, enterprise risk, and IT functions who are the stewards of investment supporting Sydney Metro to make informed, connected, innovative, and sustainable decisions that drive meaningful outcomes. There is one (1) role in this division:
1 x Business Manager in Finance & Commercial division (temporary fixed term to 30/06/2028)
The Property & Place division realises Sydney Metro’s responsibility for delivering great places around metro stations so that precincts are planned, designed, developed, activated and managed in alignment with the metro system and the broader locality of the station to ensure the best outcomes for customers and communities. There is one (1) role in this division:
1 x Business Manager in Property & Place division (temporary fixed term to 09/11/2027)

About you
Prior experience in business management, governance, project delivery, project management office or corporate services.
You’re confident managing competing priorities and delivering quality advice and reporting that supports strong business outcomes in a role where no 2 days will be the same.
You’re a proactive,
collaborative team player who builds strong relationships, prepares clear correspondence and navigates complex business needs in fast-paced environments.
You bring strong written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to see the big picture and join the dots across the division and organisation.
Your sound judgement and a customer-focused mindset to deliver accurate outcomes, support informed decisions and improve business performance will be critical to delivering divisional priorities
Division specific knowledge for the roles (Technical Services, Finance & Commercial, Property and Place) is not essential but may be an added advantage.
