About Us The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria. The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, and partnering with the department to build capability.

Procurement Services monitors and reports on procurement performance and manages several high-profile strategic projects to minimise procurement risk and support the delivery of value-for-money.

What You Will Do

As a business services lead, you will lead services that help procurement staff work effectively.

You will manage key processes, resources, learning programs and business risks across the branch.

You Will

- ensure staff have the right resources, tools and information to do their work well.
- develop and deliver learning and training programs that build procurement skills and support policy use.
- manage business risks and continuity plans, while identifying issues that may affect branch operations.
- coordinate information sessions, training and networking events for procurement staff across the department.
- manage information platforms, digital tools and communication channels that support branch work.

About You Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain, commerce, law or business administration are highly desirable.





Experience or knowledge of government procurement and policies is also highly desirable.

You Should Also Have

- framework management skills to improve processes and help others understand key requirements.
- policy and planning skills to turn rules and strategies into clear actions.
- problem-solving skills to assess issues, find practical solutions and prevent repeat problems.
- communication and leadership skills to build trust, guide others and handle sensitive issues.
