Café All-Rounder – Coffee Experience Essential

Billy’s Bar Espresso is a family-run café looking for a friendly, reliable all-rounder to join our Neutral Bay shop.

We’re a small, two-person team, so we’re looking for someone who’s happy to get involved in every part of the day. Your main focus will be serving customers and running the till, but you must also be confident making coffee and helping with simple sandwich preparation.

Shifts generally start at 5:30 am and finish around 2 pm, so being reliable and comfortable with early starts is essential.

What you’ll be doing

- Greeting customers, taking orders and operating the till
- Making consistently good coffee and other drinks
- Preparing sandwiches and handling simple food preparation
- Serving food, restocking and keeping displays tidy
- Keeping the café clean and organised, including daily setup and pack-down




- Working closely with your teammate to keep service running smoothly

What we’re looking for

- Previous café experience and confident barista skills—coffee-making experience is essential
- Friendly, clear communication and excellent customer service
- Confidence taking orders accurately and handling payments
- Someone who notices what needs doing and gets on with it
- The ability to stay organised during busy periods
- Reliability and availability for 5:30 am starts
- Willingness to help across the whole café, including simple sandwich preparation The role
- Full-time position, with part-time availability considered
- Early starts and afternoons free, with shifts usually finishing around 2 pm
- A hands-on role in a small, family-run café
