At BlueFit, we know local leisure centres are the beating heart of a community. From early-morning swim parents grabbing their coffee to families enjoying a bite after a swim, our café is a crucial part of the site experience. We are looking for hands-on, organised, and reliable Senior Café Attendants to oversee daily floor operations across the below sites:

- Oran Park,
- Lane Cove,
- Mount Annan
- Hurstville

What the Role is Really About

As our Senior Café Attendant, you will lead the floor during shifts, ensuring high customer service standards, efficient stock management, and strict adherence to food safety guidelines. You’ll also serve as the site’s certified secondary Food Safety Supervisor (FSS). (This role focuses directly on day-to-day floor operations, service quality, and stock control—giving you strong operational ownership without the added responsibilities of staff rostering or overall site budgets).

Key Responsibilities:

- On-Floor Leadership & Service: Lead shift operations from the front, coordinate POS, barista coffee, and food prep during peak rushes, handle register reconciliations, and deliver consistent, welcoming service.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Serve as the secondary Food Safety Supervisor (FSANZ 3.2.2.A compliance), oversee allergen protocols, maintain audit readiness, and ensure 100% completion of daily SALT Food Quality & Safety (FQ&S;) logs.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Conduct regular stock counts, place supplier orders aligned with established Par Levels, minimise waste, and enforce strict FIFO stock rotation and temperature management.
- Team Guidance & WHS: Provide practical on-the-job training for junior casual staff,



enforce workplace health and safety standards (slip prevention, hot liquid handling), and report equipment maintenance needs promptly.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

- Food Safety Certification: Current Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate from an RTO (Essential).
- Hospitality Experience: Proven track record in a fast-paced café, kiosk, or venue environment with a solid understanding of HACCP principles and barista-quality coffee.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable working on your feet during busy shifts and handling standard manual tasks (lifting milk crates, stock cartons, and using trolleys).
- Certifications (Required or Willing to Obtain):
- Current Working with Children Check (NSW Employee)
- HLTAID009 Provide CPR & HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (Desirable)
