Services include remote monitoring of CIEDs, MRI reprogramming, and clinical support for device implants and follow-up clinics.

Role Description The Cardiac Device Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Perth, WA. The specialist will perform day-to-day management and remote monitoring of cardiac implantable electronic devices, including device checks, data review, and documentation in clinical systems.

Responsibilities include supporting device implant procedures, assisting in follow-up clinics, and coordinating MRI reprogramming and radiotherapy-related device protocols. The role involves close collaboration with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, and technical staff to optimize device settings and respond to device alerts. The specialist will also contribute to protocol development, quality improvement activities,



and patient education related to device therapy and monitoring.

Qualifications

- Certification in cardiac device management (e.g., IBHRE, BHRS, CEPIA, or equivalent), with strong knowledge of CIED technologies and indications.
- Clinical experience in device interrogation, programming, and remote monitoring within cardiology or electrophysiology settings.
- Ability to interpret device diagnostics, arrhythmia recordings, and alerts, and communicate findings clearly to clinical teams.
- Proficiency in using device programmers, remote monitoring platforms, and electronic medical record systems.
- Strong patient-focused communication skills, including the ability to explain device procedures and monitoring plans in accessible language.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage priorities, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Attention to detail and adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in cardiac physiology, biomedical science, nursing, or related field; advanced training in cardiac devices is an advantage.
- Experience in supporting MRI reprogramming, radiotherapy protocols, or complex device cases is highly desirable.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with evolving device technologies and guidelines.
