Pergolas Brisbane is a family-owned and operated construction company specialising in decking, patios, pergolas and outdoor living solutions across Brisbane. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a full-time qualified carpenter or experienced handyman to join our small, friendly team.
We work with a variety of materials, including timber, composite decking, steel and aluminium, delivering quality outdoor spaces that we’re proud to put our name to.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position involving the construction and installation of:
- Patios and pergolas
- Timber and composite decking
- Outdoor living areas
- Roofing and associated building work
- General carpentry and installation work
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can think on their feet and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in roofing, decking and/or carpentry
- A solid understanding of general building and construction principles
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to follow instructions, plans and work schedules
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A punctual, reliable and trustworthy approach to work
- Good communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients
- A positive, friendly and self-motivated attitude
- A willingness to be part of a small team where everyone works together to get the job done
