Role Description The Casual AI Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Brisbane Area. In this position, the instructor delivers AI and robotics workshops to K–12 students, guiding them through structured lessons, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. The role involves preparing teaching materials, setting up and safely operating robotics hardware, and adapting content to different age groups and learning levels.

The instructor collaborates with schools and program coordinators to schedule sessions, manage classroom logistics, and ensure a positive, inclusive learning setting. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback,



and supporting continuous improvement of Airbotix’s curriculum and teaching tools.

Qualifications

- Strong instructional skills in STEM education, including experience teaching or tutoring K–12 students in technology, robotics, or related subjects.
- Practical familiarity with robotics platforms, coding concepts, and basic AI principles, with the ability to explain technical topics in simple, age-appropriate terms.
- Effective classroom management and facilitation skills, including the ability to engage diverse groups of students and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to groups and working collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and caregivers.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to plan lessons, coordinate schedules, and handle multiple school programs or workshops.
- Comfort working hands-on with educational hardware and troubleshooting basic technical issues during workshops.
- Relevant background such as studies or experience in Education, Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (formal qualifications or equivalent experience considered).
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Brisbane Area, including travel to local schools and community venues as needed.
- Commitment to child safety and wellbeing, including eligibility for required working-with-children or similar clearances.
