The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Administration Officers to join our casual pool team, providing essential support across hospital and community-based services.
In this varied role, you will deliver efficient and professional administrative and clerical support to ensure services continue to operate smoothly during periods of annual leave, sick leave, and other staff absences. Working across a range of clinical and non-clinical areas, you may undertake duties within Ward Clerk, Clinical Support Officer, Community Administration, Senior Administration and other administrative positions as required.
You will be a highly organised individual with robust communication skills,
the ability to manage competing priorities and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

What you will bring to the role
1. Effective customer service and public contact skills.
2. Experience using data entry packages and administrative systems.
3. Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
4. Demonstrated ability to prioritise, coordinate and time manage daily tasks.
5. The ability to work unsupervised when required and problem solve within delegation.
6. Current NSW State’s driver’s license (including P1 or above) for travel including but not limited to Nepean, Community Teams, Katoomba and Lithgow.
