Interchange Bench is currently recruiting for an experienced Client Relations Officer to join one of Melbourne's most highly regarded animal hospitals.
This is a frontline customer service and administration role where you’ll be one of the first points of contact for clients, supporting them through both routine and emotionally sensitive situations while helping ensure a professional, compassionate and efficient experience.
About the role You’ll work closely with clients, veterinary teams and internal departments to manage enquiries, appointments, payments and general administration.
Key responsibilities will include
- Greeting clients and responding to enquiries face-to-face, by phone and email
- Booking, confirming and managing appointments
- Providing clients with relevant information before and after appointments
- Supporting clients who may be distressed, emotional or grieving
- Managing customer concerns and complaints professionally
- Processing payments, deposits and payment plans accurately
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Assisting with basic animal handling where required
About you We’re looking for someone who brings empathy, professionalism and strong customer service capability.
You will ideally have
- Experience in a busy frontline customer service role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Confidence managing competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- An empathetic and supportive approach
- Valuable computer literacy and confidence
- A genuine interest in animal welfare.
