Join petabite at the Melbourne Cat Lovers Festival. We are looking for 2 to 3 friendly, reliable event sales assistants to welcome visitors, talk about our cat litter and help customers at our stand.
You will work at Melbourne Showgrounds on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, from 9 am to 5 pm each day. You must be available for both days.
What you will do
- Welcome visitors and start friendly conversations.
- Explain our products and show offers clearly.
- Help customers choose products and process purchases.
- Guide the waiting line and keep visitor flow organised.
- Keep the stand tidy and help the team with day to day event tasks.
What we are looking for:
- Transparent, confident customer communication.
- A friendly approach and reliable attendance.
- Australian work rights covering the engagement.
We would especially like to hear from people who:
- Are very outgoing and enjoy starting conversations with new people.
- Own a cat and understand everyday life with cats.
- Understand some Chinese. Fluency is not required.
These are preferences, not requirements. Retail, sales, customer service or event experience is also welcome.
Hours and pay
- Saturday 17 October: 9 am to 5 pm.
- Sunday 18 October: 9 am to 5 pm.
- A 30 minute unpaid meal break each day, giving 7.5 paid hours per day.
- Two 10 minute paid rest breaks each day.
- Hourly rates: $40-$60/hour
