Berry Street Yooralla is establishing a casual talent pool of experienced Specialist Family Violence Practitioners to support our Hume Merri-Bek Orange Door service during periods of increased demand, planned leave coverage and workforce capacity needs.

These opportunities are ideal for experienced Orange Door practitioners seeking casual, ad hoc shifts while continuing to make a meaningful impact for victim survivors and their children.

- Broadmeadows and Sunbury locations on Wurundjeri Country
- $66 p/h + Super &

Salary Packaging

The Opportunity As a Casual Specialist Family Violence Hub Practitioner, you will provide specialist family violence responses within The Orange Door, including:

- Family violence risk assessment and safety planning.
- Screening, triage and crisis response.
- Engagement and support of victim survivors and their children.
- Multi-disciplinary collaboration with partner agencies.
- Advocacy, referral and service coordination.
- Delivery of services via phone, face-to-face and outreach where required.

Shifts may be available across our Broadmeadows and Sunbury locations and flexibility to work at either site is highly desirable

We’re Seeking Practitioners With

- Direct experience working within The Orange Door.
- Are confident undertaking family violence risk assessments using MARAM and developing comprehensive safety plans.
- Can quickly integrate into a fast-paced multidisciplinary Hub environment.




- Have demonstrated experience supporting victim survivors and their children impacted by family violence.
- Are available for casual, ad hoc work that may vary based on operational needs
- Have a Bachelor qualification in Social Work, or equivalent experience under the 7 Equivalency Principles. For more info: https://www.vic.gov.au/mandatory-minimum-qualifications-specialist-family-violence-practitioners

- Commitment to trauma-informed, intersectional practice.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
