Centre Director – Sydney Inner West

Our client is seeking an energetic, passionate and people-focused Centre Director to take ownership of a Long Day Care service in Sydney's Inner West and lead its next stage of growth.

With significant potential to grow occupancy and further establish the service within its local community, they are looking for a Director who is excited by the opportunity to shape what comes next.

Our Client

Our client is a growing early childhood organisation committed to quality education and care, robust leadership and providing their Centre Directors with the support they need to lead effectively.

The service benefits from an established leadership and support structure, including a dedicated Administration person and an Educational Leader already in place. You'll also work closely with an experienced Operations team, with hands-on coaching and mentoring available when needed.

With much of the day-to-day administration supported, there is a genuine opportunity for the Centre Director to be visible across the service leading their people, connecting with families, strengthening quality and building relationships within the local community.

The Role

As Centre Director, you will take ownership of the overall leadership and performance of the service.

A key focus will be continuing to build occupancy and community presence while creating a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.

You will

- Lead, mentor and develop your team.
- Build a positive and engaged workplace culture.
- Be visible and connected with children, educators and families.
- Drive occupancy through strong family and community relationships.




- Bring fresh ideas to strengthen the service and its local presence.
- Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to support quality practice.
- Maintain strong standards across compliance, quality and child safety.
- Work closely with Operations while having the autonomy to lead your service.
- Support continuous improvement across all areas of the centre.

About You

We are looking for a confident and energetic early childhood leader who brings initiative, positivity and a genuine passion for people.

You will

- Have previous Centre Director or strong senior leadership experience within ECEC.
- Hold or be close to finishing an Early Childhood Teaching qualification – essential.
- Be a confident and engaging people leader.
- Understand the operational, quality and compliance requirements of running a Long Day Care service.
- Be passionate about building strong team cultures.
- Enjoy connecting with families and the wider community.
- Bring ideas, energy and a proactive approach to occupancy growth.
- Be committed to quality outcomes and creating a positive environment for children and educators.
