ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our exceptional 160-place Randwick Centre. This is an opportunity to lead more than a Centre. It is an opportunity to become a key leader within an established service that is already highly regarded within the local community. Operating in Randwick for more than a decade, our award-winning, architecturally designed Centre has developed an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality education and care within inspiring learning environments. Purpose-built with exceptional indoor and outdoor spaces, the Centre has been thoughtfully designed to create an engaging, welcoming and enriching environment for children, families and educators. As one of Paisley Park’s flagship Centres, you will be supported by an experienced leadership team and a group of long-standing Educators who have developed strong, reciprocal relationships with children, families and the wider community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Director who wants to lead with purpose, inspire Educators, mentor others and make a genuine contribution to children, families and the early childhood profession. THE ROLE
As Centre Director, you will provide strong educational, operational and people leadership, ensuring the Centre continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for children, families and Educators.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the Centre and maintaining its ongoing viability.
- Being unwavering in your commitment to child safety, ensuring children’s safety, welfare and wellbeing remain paramount in decision-making and that all Mandatory Reporter responsibilities are understood and upheld.
- Leading compliance across all areas of the Centre and ensuring high-quality practices are consistently maintained.
- Leading the Quality Improvement Process and ensuring the QIP remains current, meaningful and reflective of practice.
- Developing and managing effective staffing arrangements and rosters.
- Leading our Community Engagement Program and strengthening the Centre’s relationships within the local community.
- Participating in and contributing to our Communities of Practice Professional Learning Program, supporting educators to translate professional learning into meaningful changes in everyday practice.
- Leading a culture of critical reflection and ensuring leadership decisions and continuous improvement are meaningfully documented.
- Working collaboratively with your Portfolio Leader, responding positively to professional advice and implementing agreed improvements.
- Supporting the planning and implementation of high-quality learning programs and ensuring curriculum documentation is current and meaningfully reflected upon through our digital platforms.
- Overseeing daily administrative responsibilities and ensuring policies, systems and processes are effectively maintained.
- Reflecting on your own leadership practice and actively participating in probationary and performance processes.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a confident, emotionally intelligent, and highly capable Early Childhood leader who can inspire others, build trust, and lead with professionalism, purpose, and integrity. You will be someone who:
- Is passionate about early childhood education and committed to achieving exceptional outcomes for children.
- Has a strong understanding of child safety, Child Safe Standards, curriculum frameworks and the National Quality Standard.
- Leads through relationships, collaboration, mentoring and professional accountability.
- Is confident managing a dynamic team and building positive relationships with families, educators, professionals and the broader community.
- Is solution-focused, positive and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, spoken and written English skills.
- Is professionally presented and willing to abide by our uniform policy.
- Is reliable, organised and capable of working independently while contributing strongly to a leadership team.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A completed Diploma in Children’s Services or an approved Early Childhood Degree.
- A minimum of five years’ early childhood leadership experience, with Centre Director experience essential.
- Current and relevant Child Protection, Child Safety Training, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Senior First Aid and Red Nose training.
- A sound understanding of Child Safe Standards, Curriculum Frameworks and the National Quality Standard.
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships both within and outside the Centre.
- A current Working with Children Check (not volunteer) and National Police Check.
- Willingness to attend an in-person interview and provide current, relevant referee details.
- Willingness to complete a Prohibited Employment Declaration Form.
- Willingness to provide childcare-relevant referees to enable comprehensive reference checks.
