About the role

We are partnering with a growing and evolving product and services organisation with revenues of approximately $50 million. Following a significant growth phase over the past five years, the business is entering its next stage of maturity and is seeking an experienced Finance Director/CFO to provide commercial leadership, financial rigour and operational discipline. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, business performance, investment decisions and transformation initiatives across the organisation.

This is far more than a traditional finance leadership position. The successful candidate will bring both technical excellence and commercial acumen, providing meaningful insights that support decision-making while ensuring a strong financial control environment. The organisation requires a pragmatic, hands-on leader who can quickly establish credibility, strengthen financial processes and support the business through its next phase of growth and operational maturity.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the finance function across financial control, reporting, compliance and governance

- Strengthen month-end,



year-end and group consolidation processes

- Provide technical accounting leadership and resolve complex financial matters

- Deliver commercial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making

- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team

- Enhance financial controls, systems and business processes

- Support investment, growth and transformation initiatives

- Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on business performance and planning

- Ensure an productive, scalable and high-performing finance function

About you

- CA or CPA qualified finance leader with a strong background in financial control and commercial finance

- Successfully operated in growing, changing or complex SME environments

- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves as well as contributing at a strategic level

- Experience in a product and inventory-based business

- Exposure to international reporting environments and stakeholder management

- Robust technical accounting capability

- Proven success leading and developing finance teams

- Practical, solutions-focused approach to business improvement and operational performance
