As a Charge Up Operator, you’ll be responsible for charging development and production blasts, handling and transporting explosives, maintaining underground firing lines and carrying out shot-firing duties to strict compliance and safety standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you’ll join a high-performing crew that plays a vital role in underground blast readiness.

Skills & Qualifications:

Substantial underground mining experience (Charge Up or Service crew exposure highly regarded,



as well as use of emulsion and ANFO in blasting)

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve A proactive attitude with a commitment to working safely

Able to work effectively in a team in a physically demanding underground environment

WA Shotfirer’s license (or willing to obtain)

Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence

WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights

About the Role:

Charging development and production rounds

Safely handling and transporting explosives in line with regulations

Tying up and preparing blasts safely and accurately

Conducting pre and post-blast inspections

Maintaining equipment and reporting any issues

Working collaboratively with the underground crew and maintaining strong safety and housekeeping standards
