Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the hotel's kitchens produce a high quality food product at all times
- Anticipate and attend to guests' needs and desires immediately
- Prepare sauces, soups and hot dishes for service and special functions
- Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge across every item on the hotel's menus
- Monitor food quality and quantity in relation to portion control
- Maintain proper food storage techniques and cleanliness standards
- Prepare and garnish pantry items including salads, sandwiches, desserts and specialty menu items
- Requisition food product in line with hotel policies and procedures
- Ensure all standard recipes are followed across all outlets
- Maintain a clean and safe working setting, in line with WH&S; guidelines




- Look after the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
- Complete all work responsibilities and duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a timely manner
