About the role

Rasoi Master is an Indian restaurant located at Pimpama City Shopping Centre, 102 Jacobs Well Road, Pimpama QLD 4209. We serve authentic Indian cuisine using fresh ingredients, traditional recipes and high-quality cooking techniques. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking Indian dishes, maintaining food quality and presentation, and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes.
- Follow recipes, portion controls and food presentation standards.
- Monitor the quality, freshness and storage of ingredients.
- Menu preparation and develop of current dishes.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
- Manage kitchen operations during service periods.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food wastage.
- Train and support other kitchen staff where required.

About you





- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Previous 1-year fulltime experience as a Chef at least, preferably in Indian cuisine.
- Knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods and traditional recipes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays and split shifts as required.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, cleaning and workplace health and safety requirements is essential.
