Lead the Future of Community Mental Health in the Great Southern

AHA Great Southern (AHA) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organisation through an exciting period of growth, innovation and service development. Reporting directly to a skilled and committed Board, you will drive the strategic, operational and cultural success of an organisation with more than 40 years of delivering community based mental health services in the Great Southern.

Based in Albany, Western Australia, AHA provides a range of recovery-focused community mental health services, including outreach support, group activities, recovery coaching, transitional accommodation, supported housing and a 24/7 Community Supported Residential Unit (psychiatric hostel). We are also an accredited NDIS Service Coordination provider.

Over the past two years, AHA has undergone significant organisational transformation, including the implementation of a contemporary governance framework, a new Strategic Plan, technology investments, successful external accreditation audits and the establishment of a strong Executive Leadership Team.

About the Role The CEO provides strategic leadership to the organisation while ensuring excellent day-to-day operational performance, working closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to deliver AHA's Strategic Plan and continue building a high-performing, values-driven culture. Key responsibilities include:

· Providing strategic advice and governance support to the Board.





· Leading implementation of AHA's Strategic Plan and annual operational objectives.

· Driving organisational performance, financial sustainability and continuous improvement.

· Ensuring compliance with funding agreements, regulatory requirements and quality standards.

· Leading risk management, governance and organisational development.

· Developing and mentoring a high-performing Executive Leadership Team.

· Building partnerships with government agencies, funders and community stakeholders.

· Identifying opportunities for service growth, innovation and funding diversification.

· Promoting AHA as a leader in community mental health services throughout the region.

About You

You are an experienced and strategic executive leader who combines robust governance and leadership capabilities with a practical understanding of operational management. To be successful, you will bring:

· Extensive executive or senior leadership experience within community services, health, human services or the not-for-profit sector.

· Experience reporting to and working collaboratively with a Board.

· Demonstrated success leading organisational growth, change and service development.

· Strong financial, contractual, risk management and compliance expertise.





· Proven ability to build effective partnerships with government, community organisations and key stakeholders.

· Outstanding communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.

· Experience managing government funding contracts and service delivery programs.

· Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

Experience in the mental health sector is highly desirable but not essential. Postgraduate management qualifications and governance qualifications such as the AICD Company Directors Course will be highly regarded.
