We are searching for an experienced, dedicated and passionate COOK to provide healthy food for our children at our small family owned centre at Turramurra on Sydney's Upper North Shore (up to 40 children per day).

About the role

It is a permanent part time position of 20 hours a week. The successful candidate will work part time Monday to Friday between 9am to 1pm, preparing nutritionally balanced meals for children aged 0-5 years. You will be responsible for preparing all meals (following a set menu). You will be able to manage your time and have confidence with catering for children with allergies and cultural dietary restrictions and ensuring the kitchen maintains a high level of cleanliness.

To be eligible you will:

- have or be prepared to complete a food safety supervisor certificate
- have completed the National child safety training through Geccko (this is mandatory for everybody working in childcare).
- Preferably hold a Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) (AQF 3).




- Be a team player, professional and organised
- Have good communication skills
- Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check (or be prepared to get one before starting).
- An Australian Resident or hold a working visa (this is essential).
