Ashfield Little Bunnies Day Care Centre is a long day care service in Ashfield, NSW, providing education and care for children from birth to school age. We are a small, close-knit team focused on quality care, strong family relationships and a warm learning environment.

The role

We are seeking a full-time Child Care Worker to join our team permanently, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within centre operating hours.

Duties include

Supervising and supporting children in daily activities, indoor and outdoor play, and rest periods

Assisting with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational programs consistent with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework

Attending to the physical needs of children, including feeding, nappy changing, toileting and hygiene

Monitoring and maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times

Observing and recording children's development and contributing to individual learning documentation

Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, and communicating with parents about their child's day and progress

Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment





Supporting the implementation of centre policies and procedures, including child protection and behaviour guidance

About you

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher), or currently working towards it A valid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement)

Current First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management certification (or willingness to obtain)

Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework

Valuable communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team A genuine interest in the care and development of young children

Salary

$79,423 per annum, plus superannuation.
