Join an experienced, locally focused engineering consultancy companyWML Consultants is a long-established Western Australian engineering consultancy with offices in Perth, Bunbury and Kalgoorlie. With more than 30 years in business and a team of 50+ professionals, we provide integrated Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Pavements Engineering services across WA.
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Perth or Bunbury team.
This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil infrastructure and land development projects, taking projects from concept and design through to construction and delivery. You’ll work closely with clients, authorities, contractors and our multidisciplinary engineering teams, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects and grow your technical and project management capabilities.
About the roleYou will be responsible for the design and delivery of a variety of civil, road and drainage projects, including:
- Civil and land development design
- Road, intersection and drainage design
- Earthworks and infrastructure projects
- Preparation of engineering reports, specifications and contract documentation
- Design reviews and technical input
- Project management and coordination
- Tendering and contract administration
- Liaising with clients, authorities and contractors
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and drafting staff
The role provides exposure to a broad range of projects and the opportunity to work alongside WML’s Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Pavements specialists. About youWe’re looking for an engineer who combines strong technical capability with practical project experience and a desire to deliver quality outcomes for clients.
You will have
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent qualifications and experience
- 3–5+ years’ relevant engineering experience
- Strong experience in civil, road and drainage design
- Experience delivering projects from design through to construction
- Experience with project management and/or contract administration
- Strong communication and client management skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements on construction projects is desirable.
