Bring your advanced clinical expertise to a specialist role supporting older people with dementia, delirium and complex behaviours across Bayside Health Service.
About This Role
Your new role
You'll provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist consultancy across Bayside Health Service, supporting patients with complex geriatric, dementia, delirium and behavioural needs. Working within the Behaviour Support/Consultation Service, you'll provide rapid specialist advice across hospital wards, develop behaviour support plans, guide de-escalation and non-pharmacological strategies, and support clinical escalations to the Geriatric Evaluation & Management (GEM) team. You'll also build workforce capability through education, coaching and mentoring, while driving evidence-based practice, quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced and compassionate clinical leader who brings advanced geriatric nursing expertise, strong clinical judgement and a passion for improving care for older people living with dementia, delirium and complex behaviours.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in Geriatrics, dementia and delirium.
- Strong ability to lead behaviour support planning, clinical risk assessment and non-pharmacological de-escalation strategies.
- Proven capability to provide clinical consultation, coaching, mentoring and education across multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional critical thinking, decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead clinical escalations.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement,
innovation and person-centred care that delivers positive patient outcomes.
