Role Description As the Co-Founder, Behavioral Science at TraiNetra, the candidate will lead the design and implementation of behavioral research, experiments, and interventions that drive product and business outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining research questions, designing studies, analyzing data, and translating insights into actionable strategies for product, marketing, and operations. The role also involves working closely with other founders to shape company strategy, develop recent service offerings, and engage with partners and clients to communicate the value of behavioral solutions.

The candidate will create frameworks, tools, and guidelines that operationalize behavioral principles across the organization, and contribute to building a strong, evidence-based culture.



This is an on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, requiring regular presence and collaboration with the core team.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in behavioral science, psychology, behavioral economics, or a related field, with experience designing and conducting experiments or applied behavioral interventions.
- Proficiency in research methods and data analysis, including hypothesis formulation, experimental design, qualitative and quantitative techniques, and interpretation of results for non-specialist audiences.
- Ability to translate behavioral insights into practical product, policy, or business strategies, working cross-functionally with design, engineering, marketing, and operations stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to work in early-stage or high-growth environments, including comfort with ambiguity, ownership over outcomes, and a willingness to take calculated risks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including clear writing, structured presentation of ideas, and the ability to build trust with partners, clients, and team members.
- Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD in psychology, behavioral economics, cognitive science, or related discipline) is highly beneficial, along with any experience publishing or presenting behavioral research.
- Experience working on behavior change programs, user research, public policy, or product design is an advantage, as is familiarity with ethical considerations in behavioral interventions.
