Our clients have several permanent opportunities for motivated and switched-on Collections Officers to manage a portfolio of asset finance, commercial loans and energy accounts. These are key business units where your ability to "see the bigger picture" and commercial acumen will ensure long-term career prospects and growth within the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Inbound and outbound calls
- Portfolio management
- Customer-focused collection calls to obtain arrangements (early to late stage)
- Payment arrangements and evaluation of credit risk and exposure
- Using your negotiation skills to provide solutions to hardship accounts
- Undertake legal activity and loss/asset recovery (late-stage role)
- Ability to manage high-volume collection cases
Necessary experience:
- Proven success (minimum 2-5 years recent background) within Consumer or Commercial Collections
- Effective telephone technique and sound communication skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to set own deadlines
- Ability to stay focused in an unsupervised workplace
- Previous experience in or understanding of leasing/asset finance/commercial loan /energy products and legal knowledge will be highly regarded
